Everyone should visit P-Town at least once. An eclectic waterfront town where many artists live and work. Walk down the quaint, narrow Main St-a great place to people-watch. Everyone is welcome and respected here. Loaded with History-it is where the Pilgrims actually landed first! If you are up to it climb the Pilgrim Monument for a bird's eye view, you won't be disappointed. I suggest taking the bus tour when you first arrive-you'll have a better overview of the place.

Everyone should visit P-Town at least once. An eclectic waterfront town where many artists live and work. Walk down the quaint, narrow Main St-a great place to people-watch. Beautiful walking trip. There are paths off the main paved trails that are fun to take. The most spectacular time to go is Spring, when the Rhododenrons are out-it's magical. There is also a large pavillion housing an extraordinary antique auto collection.

This is a small but interesting museum. But most of all, it has my favorite hiking trail just to the left of the building. It takes you thru marshes(wood planks in place to cross the marsh), woods, and opens up to a most spectacular dune and ocean view. Check the tide charts before you venture-the trail is only passable during the hours around low tide!

This is a huge inflatable Park 5 minutes from my home. I heard it is well-managed and strictly regulated, and has become very popular for summer fun. My grandchildren say it's great. I have watched from across the street a zip line that drops you in the water. Yikes! I have not seen the park from inside, but it has been so successsful, it has expanded every year. My understanding is that it has features for every level.

Free. This is a good size complex. It has a nice shady fresh-water beach. I took my grandkids to it when they were young. Some kids prefer it to the ocean beaches because it's easier to swim. I like it because it was rarely busy and easier for me to keep track the kids. There are no houses on this kettle pond(formed at the end of the glacial period), and is very clean. Be aware that there are often no lifeguards on duty here. It has a lovely trail around the pond which I often take.
This complex includes playground area,tennis courts, baseball fields, LaCross field, and even a state-of-the-art dog park. It also has rest rooms. Pack a picnic!

Free.This is a great little spot and close by. It is picturesque, and has a small protected beach. A sunset walk out over the marshes on the long boardwalk is always a treat. At the end of the boardwalk you may see kids drop a line with a crab trap in the water. You can usually see lots of crabs walking on the bottom. Boat launch here. My daughters have been known to take our kayaks across a very short distance to the other side which is Mayflower Beach.
This is a beautiful Beach in Dennis. It has rest rooms and snack bar. Unfortunately you have to pay for parking. I have found many sand-dollars here. It has a beautiful sunset view, and if you go after 5pm it's free! So pick up a pizza and some beverages and have a sunset dinner on the beach! Great place for those skim-boards or long walks on the beach-connects to Chapin Beach-another beauty.
