Climb the stairs and see the winged statues and the enormous jaguars mouth atop one of the buildings here !! WOW ! Another unique Mayan ruina. Eat at the square in Valladolid.

Very close by and well worth the visit to this Mayan ruinas. Try to go on spring/fall equinoxes to see the sun shine directly thru the dooor of Temple of the Seven Dolls. Get there by 5:30AM !

Just outside Valladolid, a great swimming experience underground with huge staligtites . Emerald colored water and an open ceiling eye. Very neat !

If you like flamingoes you have got to go here to see hundrds of them in their natural habitat via hired boat. A magical experience ! Its about 3 hours from the house.

A small fishing village just 52km from Progreso. Take a mango grove tour by hired guides who pole you through Venice-style ! Then swim in a small cenote and enjoy your time. Cheap and a great day trip
