Cosy neighbourhood restaurant, my favourite place to eat or meet for drinks when I just want something relaxed and casual. Try their warm mulled wine in fall and winter! I also love the Scroll Five.

This graffiti-covered Toronto institution serves up huge portions of Mexican or gringo food by day, beer by night. A popular university hangout . My favourite dish is the morning Huevo Rancheros.

A lovely French cafe and pastry bar, I come here for a treat after walking through Trinity Bellwoods Park. Don't miss the pear and fig croissant sandwich and the Mini Cannele, they are to die for.

Hard to get a reservation for a table here, but you can sit at the bar and enjoy their expensive but sumptuous menu of regional Canadian inspired delicacies. Moody lighting and warm wood interior.

Haven't tried it yet but it looks great! If this place is full, walk east towards Bathurst to hit at least 4-5 new great restaurants within a stone's throw away (L'Ouvrier, Queen Margaret's Pizza...)

Can't miss this newly revamped art gallery by architect Frank Gehry. After viewing the Moore collection, the wood-clad galleria Italia is a beautiful and quiet place to overlook the Dundas Street.
