It's a few miles from the cottage, but for breakfast, you can't beat it. Expect to wait, but it's worth it. Completely organic menu with Eggs Benedict that is par none. It also has fantastic fresh squeezed OJ. Yassss!

My FAVORITE Lebanese food in the Valley. Live music on Saturday's, it's fun, relaxed, and the host, Mishel treats you like family. Tell him Jennifer and her daughter, Bella, sent you and he will ensure you have a fantastic time.

The gardens are a beautiful spot to behold. Truly a gift to the city, these gardens will make you want to pack your bags and go to Tokyo. Plan a day at the Balboa park and walk around the lake.

The best mall in the Valley! This mall has low-high end stores, great restaurants, and a trolley ride over to the outdoor market which features lesser known specialty shops and places to eat. This mall is also known for it's celebrity sightings.

Paradise Cove is one of the best beaches in the city. I much prefer this beach to Santa Monica pier, although if you haven't gone, you might consider stopping there as well. See me, and I'll tell you the difference!

It's clean, it's quiet. One thing about other beaches, they can be crowded and dirty. Zuma is lovely, with great surf.

Here is where I rock! Everyone else might steer you to Santa Monica, or Venice for surfing. No!! Look up the Makos. These are surfing pros that feature the best surf lessons in the city. My daughter goes to surf camp every summer. It is fantastic and they surf at Zuma.
