Steve Young (49er's #8) use to frequent this place back when he lived near Steve Jobs. Not sure if they still serve "Quarterback Crunch" but you can still fill up on your favorite ice cream on a hot day.

Closes a bit early, either 8 or 8:30 pm but Philz has some great coffee. You might find a local crown hanging out after hours in front of the colorful facade. Phil is located at the end of the Midtown neighborhood and is a couple more blocks' distance from the property.

This is perhaps the best local selection for Cantonese food at the decent price. You can find some finer food establishment in Palo Alto, but this is a great price to value and frequented by locals. Try the salt and pepper crab if they still have crabs in stock.

This is the "other" Palo Alto down town that is less touristy than University but colorful in it's own way. A lot quieter than University and feels much more like University was back in the 1980's. This area is between Alma and El Camino Real.

Entertainment & Activities
This is a classic fully restored Art Deco theater that only runs classic film from the 1920-1950's (pretty much). You can go in for the first move and sit there all day without getting kicked out. The famous Wurlitzer organ is played by a real organist played for the silent films.

Currently the museum is going through a massive redesign. Currently not opened. Please search the Palo Alto Junior Museum for latest details. Apparently they have moved to another Palo Alto location without the Zoo animals until they complete the work.

Ace Hardware on Alma is one of the closet neighborhood stores, It's smaller than Orchard Supply (and much smaller than Home Depot) and more personable.
