Classic, old school Pittsburgh diner in a rougher part of town. The the breakfasts and prices can't be beat! You will also almost NEVER need to wait for a table at Nancy's, because it hasn't really been 'discovered' yet. "Downtown" Wilkinsburg is a bit rough and tumble, so be warned! Plenty of parking.

BYOB! And fabulous, though slightly pricey (for Pittsburgh) Turkish/Meditteranean food. Great atmosphere.

This is an old-school, tiny little locals bar that exists because the town on the other side of the street was dry for many years. Don't let the buzzer and closed door keep you out - a great little dive bar. Good for a cheap beer or to take home a six pack!

This park is HUGE. There's a large playground on the corner nearest the house, but go back behind it and you will discover many walking/biking trails that take you down into the valley. Bring a phone - its easy to get lost in here!
