Ocean Drive is one of the most popular areas in Miami, a promenade found in the part of South Beach where all the images you have of Miami are made reality - bronzed bodies rollerskating along the seafront, white sand beaches, tropical cocktails, Latin music and art deco buildings. In the morning the beaches are fit to burst, and in the evenings it's one of the best places to party or have dinner on one of the terraces. https://www.introducingmiami.com/ocean-drive

Designed by the Dutch urban design & landscape architecture firm West 8, SoundScape Park is a 2.5-acre urban park in the cultural and civic heart of Miami Beach. Capturing the spirit and vitality of the city, it is a flexible, multi-use space adjacent to the New World Center. Experiences Open to the Public The City of Miami Beach hosts free weekly screenings of family-friendly films on Wednesdays and Thursdays from October through May. These events are open to the general public and attract about 300–400 guests to SoundScape Park. Be sure to review the City of Miami Beach's current Cinema Series schedule. NWS also hosts Yoga Mornings in SoundScape Park, a series of free monthly yoga classes presented by Jackson Health System. Dining in Miami Miami Beach is full of surprises. It’s full of high-ticket prices and sweet mom-and-pop places that won’t break the bank, celebrity chefs with flashy outposts, and homegrown talents who’ve made a name for themselves. These are the top twelve picks from Eatery.com 1. Pubbelly Sushi 1424 20th St Miami Beach, FL 33139 (305) 531-9282 An OG on South Beach, Pubbelly Sushi is best known for its rolls like its Instagram famous butter krab roll made with goma soy paper, kanikama, ponzu, with warm clarified butter for dipping. Start out with the tuna pizza, and ease into the rolls and robata offerings. But be careful, while portions are a decent and meant for sharing, it’s easy to get overly excited and want them all. 2. Casa Isola Osteria 1418 20th St Miami Beach, FL 33139 (786) 558-5787 Jose Mendin’s latest creation is Italian in focus, taking over the former Pubbelly space in Sunset Harbour. For this new venture, Mendin has partnered with Santo Agnello, who has spent the past seven years at perpetual hotspot Lucali. The menu features plenty of dishes that come from Angello’s childhood with that trademark Pubbelly twist like prosciutto bread with parmesan butter; veal chop parmigiana; Milanesa carpaccio with wagyu beef, balsamic, black truffle, heirloom tomatoes; and raviolini ai funghi with porcini mushrooms and pine nut gremolata. 3. Lucali 1930 Bay Rd Miami Beach, FL 33139 (305) 695-4441 Pizza is the ultimate comfort food, and one of Miami’s best pizzerias Lucali, offers up some of the best in the city. 4. Osteria Morini 1750 Alton Rd Miami Beach, FL 33139 (305) 918-1037 From the team behind Michelin-stared Marea and Ai Fiori comes Miami Beach’s latest Italian destination, Osteria Morini. Perched on the Collins Canal inside the Kimpton Palomar South Beach, it boasts cuisine from Northern Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region like seafood salad, prosciutto and mortadella meatballs, ricotta gnocchi in a black kale pesto, squid ink pasta, pistachio-crusted duck breast, and more. 5. Juvia 1111 Lincoln Rd Miami Beach, FL 33139 (305) 763-8272 A contemporary restaurant buzzing atop the 1111 Lincoln Road mixed-use building and parking garage, Juvia is a welcome breather from one of Miami’s most popular tourist destinations. Diners take a separate elevator up to a terrace for French, Japanese, and Peruvian plates, along with specialty cocktails and South Beach sights. 6. Bodega Taqueria y Tequila 1220 16th St Miami, FL 33139 (305) 704-2145 Tacos aren’t just for Tuesdays at Bodega. This menu boasts nine kinds of tacos and a handful of different types of burritos. Traditionalists will enjoy the al pastor with roasted pork, charred pineapple, red onion, cilantro, and salsa rosada, while those looking for something with a little different will love the camaron BLT with grilled shrimp, bacon, cabbage, and tomato drizzled with a chipotle cotija dressing. Vegans have no fear — there’s a vegan “pollo” taco on the menu as well. 7. Serena Rooftop 915 Collins Ct Miami, FL 33139 (305) 306-0776 Led by chef Scott Linquist, alongside the teams that brought us Coyo Taco and 1-800-LUCKY, this colorful rooftop eatery and bar housed on top the brand new Moxy Hotel on South Beach boasts a Mexican-inspired menu with dishes like uni and crab tostadas, squash blossom quesadillas, and chorizo huaraches, alongside classics like Caesar salad, steak tartare, and ceviches, burgers, and sandwiches. 8. Macchialina 5506, 820 Alton Rd Miami Beach, FL 33139 (305) 534-2124 This cozy, family-owned Italian restaurant is home to some of the best pasta in the city. Start with the creamy polenta, order a bottle of Lambrusco, and end with the tiramisu — there’s no wrong move in between. Make sure to check out its new outdoor patio dubbed “il Giardino” for al fresco dining. 9. Azabu Miami Beach 161 Ocean Dr Miami Beach, FL 33139 (786) 276-0520 This New York City import boasts a “hidden” sushi counter that serves omakase using local and imported seafood from fish markets in Japan. Wash it back with one of the 40 imported whiskies on hand. 10. Stubborn Seed 101 Washington Ave Miami Beach, FL 33139 (786) 322-5211 The solo debut by Miami’s own Top Chef winner, Jeremy Ford, Stubborn Seed is a cozy-yet-hip South of Fifth spot turning out some of the city’s most elevated cuisine. While there is a complete a la carte menu with dishes like ricotta gnudi, warm celery root with crispy mushrooms, and smoked prime rib, the real highlight here is the tasting menu, where guests can try a bevy of classics and seasonal creations, plus get some of its melt-in-your mouth gooey snickerdoodle cookies to take home to remember the meal. 11. Prime Italian 101 Ocean Dr Miami Beach, FL 33139 (305) 695-8484 Highlights at Prime Italian include a one pound Kobe beef meatball, a selection of dry aged steaks, and a Maine lobster brick oven pizza. Expect large portions when ordering from the pasta section like the Kobe lasagna bolognese or the baked rigatoni with hot and sweet sausage. Non-stop energy and in-the-moment style are the hallmarks of Wynwood, Miami’s creative and cultural hub. North of Downtown Miami and west of Miami Beach, a Greater Miami neighborhood that was once a collection of warehouses has been transformed in recent years into one of the world’s hippest hangouts. Full of eclectic restaurants, bars and shops, Wynwood also offers visitors countless opportunities to enjoy the best of international contemporary art, whether in galleries or simply on the street, where colorful murals make it a go-to place for Instagrammers. A stroll along the main thoroughfare of Northwest 2nd Avenue and its side streets reveals all the things that make Wynwood famous. There are craft breweries like Wynwood Brewing Company and Cerveceria La Tropical alongside independent boutiques, taquerias, food halls and laid back bars such as Gramps that have outdoor spaces for some fun, al fresco. On any given day, you’ll find locals caffeinating at Panther Coffee before heading to neighborhood co-working spaces, or grabbing a bite at much-loved eateries including The Salty, Coyo Taco and Zak The Baker. Boutiques such as Frangipani and Wynwood Tribe carry made-in-Miami and international merchandise that will make a stylish memento of your Miami trip. Wynwood is perhaps best known as a hub of contemporary and street art. Both serious and casual collectors are welcome at more than 70 galleries, which sell pieces at all price points. Synonymous with the neighborhood are vibrant murals, which were originally commissioned by the neighborhood’s visionary developer, Tony Goldman, in the early 2000s. Years later, Wynwood’s renaissance is all but complete, while the outdoor gallery of striking art continues to evolve. While you can see murals throughout the neighborhood, the centerpiece here is the Wynwood Walls. Purchase timed tickets in advance to view more than 35 murals by world-renowned artists. As popular with locals as they are with visitors, the walls (indeed, Wynwood itself) offer a unique and memorable experience.

Little Havana – the heart of Miami’s Cuban diaspora – is part of what makes Miami such a dynamic cultural destination. The neighborhood is centered around Calle Ocho (Southwest Eighth Street), a vibrant thoroughfare lined with Latin-inspired restaurants, bakeries, fruit stands, cigar shops, rum bars, art galleries and music venues. It’s also where you’ll find the famed Máximo Gómez Park (known as Domino Park),where locals gather to talk politics over heated games of dominoes. The street is lined with murals and other artwork, from the mosaic tiles near Domino Park depicting classic symbols of Cuban heritage – cigars, musical instruments and tropical fruit – to walls covered with portraits of Cuban legends, including revolutionary poet José Martí and beloved singer Celia Cruz. One of the best ways to dig into Cuban culture is through its food. Whether you make a pilgrimage to the classic, family-owned Versailles or pay a visit to one of Little Havana’s other top Cuban restaurants, you’re going to want to sample everything from strong, sweet Cuban coffee to the savory Cuban sandwich (made with roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and yellow mustard pressed into crusty bread). These restaurants, which have a casual, convivial atmosphere, sport ventanitas (little windows), where you can order delectable treats on the go – try an empanada or a guava and cheese pastelito (pastry). Head to Azucar Ice Cream Company for artisanal ice cream and sorbet with tropical flavors. Little Havana’s arts and cultural scene is equally vibrant. The neighborhood plays host to the Calle Ocho Music Festival every March to celebrate Carnaval Miami, with big-name entertainers headlining the festivities. No matter when you visit Little Havana, you can always soak up the local art and culture at galleries and studios such as the Futurama 1637 Art Building and Molina Fine Art Gallery, or with an indie flick at the Tower Theater, which dates to 1926. One of the area’s best live music venues is the CubaOcho Museum & Performing Arts Center, which happens to be an excellent place to savor a mojito. https://www.miamiandbeaches.com/neighborhoods/little-havana
