Add the Koffie Academie Amsterdam to your list of coffee bars in Amsterdam West! This nice, small bar at the Overtoom serves roasted coffee and homemade croissants, brownies and carrot cake. Yummy!
Koffie Academie Amsterdam just launched this new concept. Everything at the bar is for sale: so also the interior and the paintings on the wall made by students. Furthermore they have coffee to go and wifi so if you want to check your mail… go here! The Koffie Academie is around the corner for me, so I’ll go there soon to check it out.

De Stadskantine: Located in De Pijp and open every day from 08.30 – 22.00 for food, drinks & free wifi. This makes it the perfect place to go over that summary one more time while enjoying a hot meal around 8 euros.

Peoples Place No 5 is here to stay, and that makes us very happy. Don’t confuse it with the original People’s Place: a versatile venue for parties and events. Coincidentally also located on number 5, but located just right around the corner on the Stadhouderskade. Peoples Place No 5 is a restaurant with an Italian menu.

Friday next is a concept store in Amsterdam located at the Overtoom at the border of the city centre and Amsterdam West. It’s one of my favourite concept stores in Amsterdam for the home and living segment. In the spring and summer Friday Next in Amsterdam has a cute outdoor terrace at the busy Overtoom which is great for people watching! You can have a cup of coffee or lunch at Friday Next Amsterdam. But don’t worry if the weather is bad, this home and living store has a nice cafe. What I love about Friday Next concept store in Amsterdam is that they have a great selection of smaller designer items, books, bags and lovely gift items. Not to mention the items of the interior brands Hay and M

The Overtoom in Amsterdam-West has a new place to go to for drinks and booze, yay! Where you’d previously find Cafe Overtoom has now Goud West Amsterdam opened its doors. And that’s news I love, because it means that there’s a new place in town to meet with friends…. and of course the Overtoom can always use a cozy hotspot ;-)
It’s not completely unknown territory for Goud West. The elder brother, Parck Ping Pong Bar, is located just across the street. So a happy family on the Overtoom! The Ping Pong concept is so successful that owner Edwin decided to expand with a second bar: Goud West it is.
