Beautiful cove with white sand beach. Going down the stairs is easy. Getting back up will make your butt burrrn. It's totally worth it though.

Surf, or better yet, sit and sip a margarita and eat flautas at Punta Paraiso while being entertained by wipeouts, and little eye candy on a good day (or bad day, depending on your morals).

One of the best beaches for snorkeling. Get there early before the crowds, head out to the southern rock formations, and you might get lucky to see a turtle resting on the seafloor.

Pretty little restaurant on Manialtepec Lagoon. Try their deep fried quesadillas or traditional sopes and admire the peacefulness of the lagoon. Jumping off point for bird watching tours in the morning or phosphorescence tours in the evening. Something different

Take a nice 20 minute walk along the beach at the crack of dawn and watch the big wave surfers get the barrels of their lifetime. Big wave season is summertime, but this beach break is heavy year round.

Take a fishing tour out of this little bay. You have a chance of catching dorado (mahi-mahi), bela (sailfish), gallo (roosterfish), tiburon (shark), and marlin. You can almost always see turtles, often dolphins or manta rays, and sometimes whales. Our favorite captain is Levy Ramirez. You can look him up under Surfandfishing Charters, or puertofishing.

About a 40 minute drive away, worth it if you like that kind of stuff, which we do, and that's why we mentioned it.

P.S. Seagulls might ruin your mini sea-friend's chance at liberation. Witnessing survival of the fittest firsthand is not for the faint of heart.
