A CULTURAL GEM! Head to Fuji Sushi for traditional, top quality sushi. Tamarind Tree for delicious Vietnamese food in a vibrant setting, Uwajimaya Asian Market for EVERYTHING you can imagine and eat from Asia, then head on over to the Panama Hotel and Cafe for a history lesson and great cup of tea.
If you are into gardens and p-patches the Danny Woo Community Garden is nationally known and well worth the visit. Kobo and Momo are our favorite boutique shops in the city and the best spot for Japanese inspired gifts.

A CULTURAL GEM! Head to Fuji Sushi for traditional, top quality sushi. Tamarind Tree for delicious Vietnamese food in a vibrant setting, Uwajimaya Asian Market for EVERYTHING you can imagine and eat from Asia, then head on over to the Panama Hotel and Cafe for a history lesson and great cup of tea.

In 1989, the city asked the Fremont Arts Council to launched an art competition to rehabilitate the area under the bridge, which was becoming a dumping ground and haven for drug dealers. Later that year a team led by sculptor Steve Badanes won the competition and was inspired by the folktale Billy Goat’s Gruff. The Troll sculpture is made from rebar steel, wire and 2 tons of messy ferroconcrete, 18 ft tall with a shiny metal eye and crushing a Volkswagen Beetle in his left hand

You can jog, bike or drive to our cities largest urban park - 5 minutes from our home - A MUST! Lush trails, abundant tide pools, historic lighthouse and harbor seal sightings if you are lucky! High tide at sunset is epic and the best time to see the seals feeding. Herons feed at low tide and grace the beachcombers with their presence. Stop by the Education Center for a park map and interpretive educational exhibit of all the wildlife in the park - fun for little ones too.

Active city beach great for people watching, bonfires on the beach and cook outs. It's our version of Venice Beach. Really well done playground for the kiddos. Yup, that loud and repetitive howl you hear is our resident seal population.

The end of the line and well worth the effort to get to this virtually unspoiled and rugged coastline of the Pacific Ocean. First and second beach are sublime and a MUST if you trek out this far. Forks is not much to write home about, but you're there for the natural beauty so who cares!
