It is located in the Buddhist monastery, City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in Talmage (fewer than 2 miles from our house.
There is a catch. They are open from 11:30-3 pm daily, closed on Tuesdays, and they only accept cash. You may expect to pay between $20 and $30 for two people to come away completely satisfied.
Take a stroll afterward to see peacocks, and feel like you are in another peaceful country after your meal.
Also, see Buddha hall, and observe some of the 10,000 Buddhas which were hand carved by the founder of the monastery.

Good food at a good price. Taco Loco is a great place for a quick bite, and at about 2 miles away, it is super close to the house!

Follow Perkins Street up to State Street, and you'll arrive there.

If you are craving frozen yogurt, U Top It is the place in town to get it. Create your own tasty creation as you mix fruits, cookies, whipped cream, and other toppings on cool and refreshing frozen yogurt.
They do charge by weight, so don't go too crazy with the toppings. :-)

Hike up the forested trails along a serene lush trail. As you hike over the crest of the hills, a grove opens up before you, and you find yourself amongst the tallest trees in the world., literally (verified in the early 2000's).
Pack a picnic and enjoy the grandeur of these silent giants. It will take about 25 minutes to drive to the park, but it is well worth it. Take sturdy walking shoes, and you mind get a little mud on them.

Pack a picnic and enjoy the grandeur of these silent giants. It will take about 25 minutes to drive to the park, but it is well worth it. Take sturdy walking shoes, and you mind get a little mud on them.

Paddle board, kayak, canoe, swim, fish, or wind surf. You can do it all here. Warning, though, there are also powered boats, and they can be annoying, at times.
If it is not so warm, you may also hike, run or bike on the trails which surround the lake.

Newly opened in August of 2018, this is probably the quietest Costco you will ever enter. However, that does not reflect the variety held within. This store has it all, and more. Just be prepared to purchase large quantities of your goods.
