A wonderful family-run South African restaurant, owned and run by the irrepressible Wim. Some of the best steak you will eat in Portugal, as well as interesting South African dishes such as biltong with avocado dip and boerewors (sausages).

Burgau is a traditional Portuguese village about 10 minutes drive away from Luz and has a lovely beach. You'll occasionally still see local fishermen bringing in their daily catch. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants.
