Lots of great Middle Eastern cafes, grocers and other stores. A real local feel to this stretch of the Harrow Road, for more of a local flavour away from the tourists in Notting Hill / Portobello and Kensington.

The home of the best Portugese cafes in London. You want custard creams, this is the place to go. Sit outside and watch the world go by for some local flavour.

My favourite restaurant in the area, but sadly closed until December 2017. I can't wait to have their fish pie with a bottle of their house champagne again. The best comfort food (and good people watching here too!)

Lots of nice little cafes and well coiffed people to look at here. Nice for a little pit stop on the way back or to Notting Hill and town.

This is a little hidden gem really close to the flat. It's got great food, an outdoor covered garden, and sheesha pipes. A nice little local option when you can't be bothered to cook. Doesn't look much from the outside, but once you get in the back, it's like a little bit of Cairo in London. Very friendly and nice. They also have a takeaway kebab shop.

The heart of London's Spanish and Moroccan communities, as well as home to the hipper stars and entrepreneurs. Well worth a visit to do some market shopping, check out the people on the streets and look cool drinking coffee (or beer).

For the architecture enthusiasts, you must go see Otto Goldfinger's iconic Trellick Tower just over by Golborne Road. Revolutionary, in its day.

The best and most beautiful of all Central London Parks. Don't come to London and not go for a stroll in Hyde Park. It's a nice way to walk or cycle into the Centre of Town, with Marble Arch and Oxford Street starting at the Eastern end of the Park.

Right by the flat, this is a lovely hidden gem of a park that has a beautiful Japanese garden part to it, originally laid down in 1911. A lovely surprising moment of calm and serenity. You can cut through here to get to Uxbridge Road when it's open during the day.
