Day trip by train: Best place to see the Matterhorn, the world's most photographed mountain, an almost perfect pyramid. Take train to Gornergrat, there the panorama is absolutely spectacular.

From here you fhave one of the best views of the Aletsch Glacier, the Matterhorn, the Monte Rosa, the Weisshorn a.s.o. From here you can also walk down to the Glacier.
