The waterfall is located 6km from the main Powerscourt Estate and is Ireland's highest (121 metres). Drive there. It's not possible to walk there from the House and Gardens. Good for picnics and BBQ's.

Some 5000 varieties of plants and trees in Mount Usher Gardens which were commenced in the 1880's. They were laid out in "Robinsonian" style by Edward Walpole of a family that made its money in the linen industry in the 19th century. Avoca run a Garden Café here: really excellent. There is a courtyard with lots of interesting shops and a small garden centre. I highly recommend a visit if gardens are your cup of tea.

Some 5000 varieties of plants and trees in Mount Usher Gardens which were commenced in the 1880's. They were laid out in "Robinsonian" style by Edward Walpole of a family that made its money in the linen industry in the 19th century. Avoca run a Garden Café here: really excellent. There is a courtyard with lots of interesting shops and a small garden centre. I highly recommend a visit if gardens are your cup of tea.

Wonderful scenery and colours. Drive carefully on the twisting narrow roads. Watch out for sheep grazing. A lovely route to take to cross the Wicklow mountains to Blessington Lakes and Naas. Roads closed during winter.

It actually starts in Marlay Park in Dublin, runs through County Wicklow and finishes at Clonegal in County Carlow. It is a physical endurance test and is NOT for the casual walker who can of course walk easier shorter sections.
444 metres high may not sound much but on a clear day Holyhead and the mountains of north Wales are visible across the Irish Sea. One way to end your hike is at the traditional Blue Light pub.

Don't miss the unique collection of contemporary "Sculpture in Woodland" by Irish and international artists.

A short hill climb to reach the cross on the summit of Bray Head from which there are great views in all directions. Not too arduous a short climb. A great place from which to watch the annual Bray Airshow.
