This cafe is in the mall, they do specialty chocolates and they also do REAL chocolate mochas and hot chocolates served over a candle they are delicious! Just make sure you ask for the right size when ordering because if you order a small its not served over a candle so just check with the staff.

This cafe is open until late and is great for late night dessert. I personally find the coffee here a bit strong and not to my taste but the enviornment is warm and comfortable.

Kiwis love Drexels and its very popular here they serve eggs, pancakes, waffles, crepes, all sorts of cooked breakfasts. Its around $20pp to dine here

This little hidden treasure is a lovely place to go on a nice day. You can pick your own berries there or if thats not your thing then just buy some or have a real berry ice-cream. They also have a cafe and beautiful garden there so its a great place to go for a short drive and have a coffee!

The Fox & Ferret is our closest local pub. Here they do what we would consider fairly traditional pub food like burgers and steaks. They often have live music and even better its in walking distance from the house so you can have a few drinks and not worry about transport :). Please note Fridays and Saturdays will quite posibly be busy so will be great if your lookng for some atmosphere and posibly somewhere to watch the rugby then heres your place. However not so much if your looking for a quiet meal.

Hagley park has everything from a walking track on the outter, punting down the river, botanic garden, cafe, childrens park and pool. Its a gorgeous park and beautiful escape from city life!

Very windy road to get here but the views from the top on a good day are gorgeous! If you are travelling here just be sure to stick to the speed limits (going over or under the limit are both dangerous)
