You will learn a huge amount about the development of our whole region. There is a specific tour for all the Beatles fans as well!

A previous Roman city with walls intact so you can walk all around them in a couple of hours, Chester is a beautiful quaint City with great shopping in the unique Elizabethan rows. A walk down by the river or even a boat ride is a perfect way to spend a Sunday followed by lunch in one of the many traditional hostelries.
Previously an old mill this has been turned into a museum illustrating the history of Manchester and Lancashire being the centre of the industrial revolution and textile industry. A wonderful family day out.

This lovely traditional country house is surrounded by garden walks with plenty of deer, rabbits, ducks and swans. The house is open for visit in the season as well as formal gardens. There is often a temporary exhibition. A lovely place to go for a picnic or just a long walk, followed by lunch in an old country pub in Dunham village.
