Food scene
The Appleseed Restaurant is the closest to House on The Hill at just 4.3 miles away! This is our favorite with amazing chicken wings, beer selection and friendly service! In the winter they always have a warm fire in the dining room and in the summer you can eat on the deck overlooking Lake Todd. The Fenton family has owned and operated this business for over 40 years and they are amazing people!

The salt Hill shanty located in Newbury just 8 miles away from house on the hill. They offer a wide selection of salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers and steaks you name it they have it. In the winter it’s a nice place to go as it’s at the base of Mount Sunapee and they have an arcade in the basement to keep the kids busy and an amazing sledding hill out behind.
You can also ride your snowmobile to salt hill and if you don’t want to sit inside, they have heaters and fire pits.
