My favourite places are those, which are in the walking areas, where you can sit outside and enjoy your meal or drink while breathing the fresh air of the summer night in (without any cars disturbing you in it.) These places are on Tompa and Raday Street or at Balna, where you can even sit right next to the Danube and enjoy the view of the beautiful Gellért Hill.

NÁDORI CUKRÁSZDA
If you are searching for a good sweet shop or candy store, there is a little, but famous one at Bakats Square: the Nádori Cukrászda. (http://www.nandori.hu/) It is not a tourist attraction, it is the best sweet shop in the district, which is always full of Hungarians, who pop in on their way from work to home just for a little slice of cake. So if you like cakes, you must try it! They have also gluten-free cakes, if you have allergy, like me.

Sightseeing
My number one favourite place in Budapest is the Gellért Hill. I always go there walking: I go 1st to Nehru Part and Balna, then I cross the Danube on the Liberty Bridge. The Gellért Hill is like the center of the heart of the city. When you go up the hill, you can feel the heartbeat of the city around you, but at the same time you can enjoy the beauty and the peace in the center of it. The view from the top is unbelievable: you can see the whole Pest, the Buda Castle and the Parlament.

You can walk there on the Gizella Sétány from Boráros Square or you can use the tram. In the Palace of Arts you can enjoy concerts and other performances of the highest level.
