Great bar and a fantastic place to eat with your vegan friends all day and into the later evening. I love their Brussels sprouts. Order the huge jar cocktails. Good thing you're just blocks away.

Amazing sushi as well as all of the dishes. If you get the burger without the bun it comes with a rice ball that is flavored with something that makes me never want to go back to buns. So good!

Best sushi in town. The NE location will hopefully reopen soon. Seriously no one will argue that. There's another location in NW currently open. You may have to wait at either location.

Food truck owner, Eric, was actually an Airbnb guest in the Garden Room while they were house hunting when moving from AZ. His southwest inspired creations like the street artisan tacos and cemitas are some of the best in town. Paella from a food cart? In this case, yes. Heck yes. His Paella of the Week (POW) features rotating fresh and local produce like mussels from the region and organic/grassfed/heritage/local/etc meats from the best producers in town.
He drummed up lots of popularity in AZ with his pop-up dinners but Portland gets to enjoy his talents now. He's also been on Food Network a couple of time.
Stop by, grab a meal and beer, and tell Eric you're staying in his old room.

The beer is nationally award winning. If you have kids there is a part of the restaurant where they are genuinely welcome. The burgers are one of my favorites and a GF bun is available.

Check their website to see what's going on during your stay.

I've also enjoy stopping by to see what art exhibit is going on. Its always well curated.

I especially love the modern and contemporary permanent collection. Some of the exhibits have been amazing. Its not the Met or MoMA, but worth checking out to see pieces you even saw in Art History 101.

Its a must see while in the area if you have a car. Beautiful falls with various levels of hikes around (including ADA). On the weekends it can get crowded.

Bikes for sale of course too. If you're up for it, you can even get a custom bike fitting done and a custom or semi-custom bike built for you. This is also the home of custom bike builder Sweet Pea bikes (internationally well known amongst bike nerds).
