If you like Southern they have biscuits and gravy, biscuits and country ham, plain biscuits, create your own biscuit. Breakfast or lunch. You can see them make the biscuits. It doesn't get any fresher!

This is one of the best of Richmond. Go for the small plates. Great options are the perfect egg or duck lardons appetizer, any of the entrees and the honey pot for dessert. The restaurant is small, cozy and the service is good. It is located in historic Church Hill. $$$

This is located within two blocks and perfect for breakfast. They also have lunch, dinner and happy hour. I like the quiche. Get a booth if you can. The tables in a row are too noisy.

The entire area is wonderful. You have a park with a bridge across the James River. You can walk a suspension bridge to Belle Island, the Civil War prison island. From there you have a close up view of the rapids and Hollywood cemetery. Or you can visit the civil war museum. Rain or Shine there is something to do.

If you like ceramics you must visit this 'makers' gallery. It is in historic Shockoe Bottom. There are nine working studios and over 30 local ceramic artists featured in the gallery. (It is open weekends only but this is our place so let us know and we will open the doors for you.)
