Excellent, cheap vegetarian food. The place is popular and there might be a bit of a wait to sit down (usually 10-20 mins). This is my favorite place to eat, they have a few locations around the city.

Japanese restaurant, excellent food, better to make a reservation if going during prime hours. Rather expensive but absolutely worth it.

Tiny french restaurant. Very very french - the waiters all have thick french accents, the owner is a very interesting and tiny french man. Trendy spot, with good food, rather expensive.

Excellent drinks and very nice relaxed atmosphere. Jazzy vibe, quieter than your typical NY bar (unless it's fri/sat). No TV screens. Great selection of scotches, nice wines, and great cocktails.
