The Local's menu features a wide variety of culinary fare inspired by the offerings here in Virginia. Anyone can find something to enjoy at The Local. Some of our favorite dishes are the crispy shrimp with sesame aioli and local honey sambal and the Bison Hanger Steak Special from New Frontier Bisonry. Also not to miss is their trendy and unique cocktail list that is crafted to highlight local distilleries, wineries, cideries, and breweries. (There are many!)
If you happen to be in town on a Monday night, get there around 8pm and enjoy original live music at Singer/Song Writer night! It's a varied mix of musical styles (and talents - hehe) but always a great time.

If you want to enjoy a nice cold drink around a fire conversing with locals, check our the Tikki Bar at La Taza. It's an outside bar with a tropical theme and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Belmont.

This is a hidden gem that many locals aren't even aware of! Everything is good at this little taco joint - even the margaritas! SUPER budget friendly! One super taco is $2.50!

Azalea Park is very close to our house and offers a wide variety of activities in a small space. You will find a large playground suitable for kids of all ages, a small baseball field, a dog park, urban gardens, a nature path, and soccer fields. The nature path follows behind the dog park and twists through the urban garden across a rope assisted rock-hop bridge across a small stream.
