Our beautiful historical Duke of Marlborough Hotel is beachfront in Russell town. The food is wonderful and the ambiance is just lovely. My favorite thing to do is watching the sunset at their beach side tables. During summer months they often will have a band or musician.

York Street Cafe is great for breakfast and their coffee is good. It is very central and their breakfast is very reasonable and tastes great.;

Situated on the waterfront, enjoy a good coffee and awesome food with a view. Watch the boats come and go and people watch. Their breakfast menu is great and you will be back!

Again, this is a favorite place of ours, they always have musicians throughout the summer and host some awesome bands. They have great pub grub for a good price and plenty of outdoor seating. Very central in town and good parking.

Just down the road from us is this gorgeous place! Wait till you see the views over the Bay of Islands and try their amazing platters with a chilled wine.

Another stunning place to visit. Their Restaurant Sage is lovely and the food amazing and again with views that just keep going on and on over the Islands. This is a truly special place and would highly recommend a meal here.

Arts & Culture
I really enjoyed the tour through Pompallier House and learnt a lot about the history of Russell. Their gardens are lovely and afterwards there is the gift shop and also a Cafe. They serve up good coffee and their pastries are just the best! Beautiful setting and the views are awesome!

Caravan now have a shop in Russell! This is just lovely and the clothes are beautiful. I can't rave enough about this shop. Well worth a visit and maybe a splurge......

The list of movies playing and times is normally on the noticeboard on the side of Four Square by the Russell wharf. It's a little bit quirky and the movies are not always up to date but a nice way to end the day. Ask about local restaurant deals too if you are goingl.
