A shop just opened by a young knife artisan/specialist and his wife, who makes traditional knives, as taught to him by his mother, but also has all your modern, best quality kitchen needs. On Sunday they have a morning market of fresh eggs, strawberries, whatever is in season locally grown, and poulet roti avec les PDT-YUM

No hospital, the nearest is Libourne, another 20minutes away toward Bordeaux, which has the best. But Castillon has pharmacies and other stores like Lidl, a good boulangerie, dry-cleaners, laundrette, vet clinic etc. It's 10 minute drive from our place.
