Stylish Japanese run by a NYC chef. The amazing cocktails and Korean Fried Cauliflower are my favorite things on the menu. No reservations so the wait can be long, but that's half the fun.

Parallel streets Elgin and Staunton are filled with restaurants and bars in the heart of the Soho scene. My favorite is Posto Pubblico, an Italian restaurant that sources from local organic farms.

Fresh, delicious and inexpensive Vietnamese food. Best Vietnamese in town in my opinion.Good coffee too. No reservations so often a line, especially at lunch.

Lamma is a great getaway island. 30 minutes by ferry (check online for schedule), Yung Shu Wan is full of island atmosphere, cafes (i like bookworm) and bars. The hour walk to SokYueWan is gorgeous

Rowdy LKF is a street full of loud pubs and street drinkers, its fun to people watch, though not my favorite nightlife scene. I like Le Jardin bar, in the back of Wing Wah Lane, aka Rat Alley.

This whole stretch of Wyndham is buzzing at night. Lily Bloom serves some of the best fancy cocktails in town and is quite a scene. Take the elevator up from inside the LKF hotel.

For all your mall purposes, this place has the Palace movie theater (buy tickets ahead of time), foreign supermarket CitySuper, and Red Bar on the roof and cafe Simply Life both with great views.
