Get the corn app. This Cuban greasy spoon is inexpensive and totally satisfying. Service is mixed and tables are tight but it's worth it. Expect to wait for a table at prime times.

My favorite old New York coffee shop. A real institution. If you're in the area, pop in and get a latte and their cookie plate. All art on the walls is original from the Renaissance!

Best $3.00 you'll ever spend on a meal. Get the falafel and lots of napkins. Go sit in Washington Square Park with it and savor every last bite. So so so good. My mouth is watering thinking about it.

Best $3.00 you'll ever spend on a meal. Get the falafel and lots of napkins. Go sit in Washington Square Park with it and savor every last bite. So so so good. My mouth is watering thinking about it.
Zero decor but moderately priced Ethiopian food cannot be beat. The veggie combo meal is one of my favorite things to eat in NYC.

Five doors down, super high-end coffee shop with really top notch coffee. One point of note, no laptops allowed, so can't go there to work, but they do have a back patio if you want to read the Times!

This NYC chain has a few locations all of which are great. If you like burgers (or veggie burgers) this is a must taste. Fun atmosphere and great service. Skip Shake Shack and go here!
