Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge is a great place to be out in nature. The visitor center is amazing, if your looking for a place to be in nature it's the place to go. You can walk trails through the woods, and if you look carefully you can find all kinds of wildlife.

It's a beautiful place to go and enjoy nature, with a diverse range of wildlife, ranging from song birds to deer to fox to whales in the ocean. The bridge connecting Long Island to Fire Island National Seashore is only one mile down the road and is only one of two bridges connecting Long Island to the Barrier island.
