This is my go-to "general store": it has toiletries, hardware, bedding, cookware, bath products, cleaning supplies, stationery, furniture, you name it. If you need a pharmacy, there's also a Duane Reade one block north.

From the apartment, this is your primary subway stop. It gets on the 6 line, which goes downtown to Grand Central, Union Square, Soho / Chinatown, all the way to the Brooklyn Bridge.
