Visit

This is a lovely town in Romania. Here resides the royal family of Romania, in Peles Castle which is also available to visit. You can get there by train from Bucharest North Railway Station and it will take around 2 hours to get there.

If you come to Bucharest you must take a walk on Calea Victoriei. If you get tired, just park your feet at one of the many restaurants in the old city center. You will take a piece of the Little Paris air, with the iconic old buildings and the bohemian air that combines so good with the modern current of architecture and lifestyle

you can visit the Arch of Triumf which is a replica for the Paris one, comemorating the participation of Romania to the WW 1. You can also climb it to the top, and have an awesome view of the city

If you just want to take a walk and bread some fresher air, you should visit Carol Park, which is not so big but I like it most for it's boheme air and the irregular topography.

If you stay longer in Bucharest, you must visit Therme, this oasis of relaxation near a big and crowded city. It is located in Balotesti but a therme bus(you can get the schedule and the stops on their site) or an Uber can easily get you there. They have three sections, Galaxy, with water slides and pools, Palm, which is a relaxation area with jacuzzi, pools, healing baths (lithium, salt, magnesium),small saunas and lots of palms, and the Elysium which is for different tipes of saunas and massages (the massage needs to be paid but there are decent prices starting at 100 RON) Make sure you have flip flops and bath shorts cos you will not be able to enter. A towel will be nice, though I think you can rent from there

Транспорт

Subway is the fastest way to move through the city.

You can pay your trip directly by card at the entrance doors or just buy a ticket at the ticket stores. Once you are inside, you can switch to every metro lane without paying extra. Take into consideration that in Bucharest, the metro lanes are differentiated by color (yellow lane for the North Rail Station, Red one, Blue Line that connects the most of the city center, from "Aviatorilor" to "Tineretului", etc).

Busses may be also a good idea to move through the city

Also, you can move through city by tramways, busses or trolleys . A ticket costs 3 RON an is active for 90 minutes. During this 90 minutes, you can use it in every of the three mentioned above, doesn't matter if you have to switch to another number. just make sure you will be in those 90 minutes. For the most of the busses you can pay inside by card (make sure you have the proof of payment if control comes) for the tram or trolley you may need to buy a ticket from the ticket stores.
