If you like a difficult climb, its 2,500 stairs straight up so not for the faint hearted. There is a platform at the top overlooking Hamilton and the Waikato river

Another steep climb, approximately 60 minutes to the top. This also has a trig at the top and great signs to point out the major areas you are looking at.

This is lovely dense bush and a very tough climb, It is the tallest mountain in the Waikato and has amazing views overlooking the coromandel and down the peninsula, you can also look back and see most of the Waikato.

This is the closest beach to Hamilton and is also famous for the best long left hand surf break in the world. It is a black sand beach great for swimming, there are also lots of small boutique shops and eateries to explore.

This is beautiful farm land and bush with well over 100 free range chickens. A lovely place for a stroll, with lots of ponds and wildlife around and its free.
