If you park in the hotel grounds there are trails sign posted. The walks are in a woodland setting and you are able to jog, walk or cycle. On your return to your car, you can always pop in the hotel for a coffee, a cold soft or alcoholic beverage and something to eat.

There is a large supermarket called Globus, there is also a Lidl and Aldi in Simmern. An assortment of restaurants and Take-aways are in Simmern from Chinese, Steakhouse, Turkish, Pubs and Pizza.

Koblenz has a variety of shops, restaurants and cafe. It has a cable car to take you over the Rhine to the Castle, which is well worth a visit. In addition there are River Cruises which gives you the opportunity to enjoy more scenic views.

In Mörsdorf, you can visit the longest suspension bridge called the Geierlay suspension bridge, it is 360 meters long and 100 meters high. It spans the Valley between Mörsdorf,and Sosberg. Initial contact is in the visitor centre in Mörsdorf, where there is also a restaurant and public facilities. To walk across the bridge is free.

Trier contains several well preserved Roman structures, including Ruins of Roman baths, an amphitheater just outside the centre and a stone bridge over the Moselle River. The Archaeological Museum displays Roman artifacts. There is also a Cathedral.

Getting Around
Frankfurt Hahn Airport is approximately 20 minutes from us. So, if your thinking about an overnight stay prior to your journey, or when returning home, then Crumpler's Castle is a perfect choice!
