Perfect way to spend a day just floating down the Truckee river. Bring a cooler with drinks and food and some water toys and stop anywhere along the river to have lunch. Very calm river except for a little bit of rapids at the very end but you can get out and walk around those.

Located just behind the 21323 Donner Pass Rd. There is a large parking lot right across the road from the Soda Springs Ski Resort parking lot.
You can walk there by going behind my house across the railroad tracks (use caution and if uncomfortable crossing the track just go down the street and cross at the railroad crossing.)

Drive east on Donner Pass Road and see one of the greatest views of Donner Lake. Drive down to the lake and visit the public beach on the west end to swim and relax.

At just 10 feet, 3 inches wide, and with only 39 seats, guests would literally have to ‘squeeze in’ to enjoy their breakfast at the little restaurant. As the list of omelette options grew, so did the popularity of the restaurant, and by the mid 80s it was considered a true Truckee institution.
