I warmly recommend a visit to this little gem of a restaurant close to the museums at Bygdøy. It's accessible via a small cable boat from the mainland. It could perhaps be a bit hard to find as it is hidden in a residential area.

This is a great restaurant if you feel like eating good meat for dinner. Maybe best on rainy days as the interior is a bit dark. 15 minutes walk from the apartment.

This is a nice café with very good bread, buns, croissants, coffee etc. Try the cinnamon rolls! It is open from 07.30 to 17.00, so perfect place for breakfast. 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

This is a great shop for delicacies about 15 minutes walking from the apartment and a few bus-stops before Lindern if you come from the city center. They have great cheeses, hams and I can basically eat up the shop. But be aware - it's expensive!

This is a cute raw-food café. About 5 minutes from the apartment. They have a lovely smoothie bowls, matcha lattes and a great brunch platter!

This is a new gourmet restaurant in the neighbourhood that has gotten good reviews. I have not tried it myself, but I have heard that its good and its very close to the apartment. Expensive/fine dining.

Asian restaurants at "Aker brygge". We went here with 4 kids (9, 11 and two babies) and found it very family friendly and were all happy with the food.

Sightseeing
The newly opened Much museum is a must when visiting Oslo! We went as a family and loved it! The building is highly debated and voted to be the ugliest building in Norway (and I agree..), but it's great once you are on the inside.
It has a rooftop restaurant, but the conclusion from our visit was that the rooftop is best for a drink (we were disappointed about the food and service, but loved the surroundings)

If you have a car and sport-shoes I recommend an afternoon hike to Vettakollen. Its steep uphill, but the treat on the top is great views of Oslo.
