If you are a taco-lover, don’t go anywhere else! This is one of our very favorite spots. If you eat pork, order the Al Pastor tacos. You won’t regret it!

This is right next to Taqueria Habanero. Mezcalero has great fish tacos and dinner platters, but doesn’t really compete with Taqueria Habanero for tacos. If you have some time here, and you love tacos, we highly encourage a taco challenge between the two restaurants! Let us know which one is your favorite.

We encourage you to use public transport while you're here!
Buses: We have multiple bus lines running nearby. The New Hampshire Ave NW & Georgia Ave bus lines run frequently from our neighborhood to downtown DC - the bus stops are about a 3-4 minute walk. We recommend downloading a Washington metro and bus app to get information about the routes and real time updates about bus arrivals, etc. Note, the bus does not take coins, so be sure to travel with some cash to pay for your fare.
Metro: The nearest metro is the Petworth Metro Stop, which is at Randolph and Georgia. This is about a 5 min walk from the house. The green and yellow line both run from
