Modern Taco's and Craft Cocktails in downtown TC. They have really delicious tacos, which you order individually so you can mix and match whatever you like. They also have great rice and beans, street corn, salads, and chips with guac too.
This spot is very good and very popular. It is right in the middle of Downtown Traverse City, so it can be hard to get a table. There is plenty of shopping and the beach nearby, so if you get on a waitlist you won't be

Mama Lu's - A Modern Day Taco Shop

Casual Dining
Great food in Traverse City isn't always served by a waiter! From food trucks, to counter service restaurants, these are our favorite more casual dining options.
The Filling Station is our Favorite! They have a very simple menu of woodfired pizza, fresh salads, and their own microbrew beers. This restaurant and brewery is entirely counter service, and it may well be the classiest counter service you have ever experienced.
The Filling Station is close (walkable) to Oakdale Oasis. It is reasonably priced, friendly, safe, and always delicious. The only downside is, they have an unpredictable and often long wait time to eat there. Take-out is faster and easy, though, and there is plenty of seating for two at Oakdale Oasis! Let me know if you want an empty glass beer growler from the Filling Station to fill up!
The Filling Station has a unique and bespoke atmosphere. The restaurant and brewery operates out of a property that used to be a passanger rail train station. Since the onset of Covid, the Filling Station has worked and invested tirelessly to maintain quality, service, relevancy, and safety. Still in late May of 2022, the staff are wearing masks. All seating is outdoors with partially open air. They have installed windblocks, heaters, lighting, and so much more to make a safe and comfrotable place to eat, in nearly any weather.

Edson Farms also has a little bit of everything when it comes to groceries, like produce, cereals, cheeses, meats, frozen foods, breads, bath and kitchen goods, etc etc.
Their products aren't the "cheap" option, but if you are into natural, reusable, or plastic-free products, you will absolutely love this store.

Wine
I'll enjoy a glass of wine every now and then, but it's not really my thing. So when I look for a winery to visit, ambiance is everything to me.
Mari Vineyards is the most fantastic winery to visit for abiance, in my humble opinion. The building, view, craftsmanship, art, etc etc of this place is just stunning. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Those cellar doors on the hillside though <3.
The wine is fine, I guess.
