This is the restaurant you want to go to if you are interested in a long drive and what at first glance looks to be a redneck bar. But, in reality, is some of the best food in the entire state of Virginia. It's a good hour drive from the apartment, but definitely worth it.

Spending an afternoon in South Boston, about 30 minutes from Danville, is fun. But, if you decide to venture out, Bistro 1888 must be on the menu. It's one of the best restaurants you'll ever visit.

Wonderful experience. Great food. And if you are visiting VIR, it should be a definite. If you're visiting the area, it's one of the very best restaurants in the area.

People come from all over for the Tank Museum. The people who run it are ornery and irritating but the museum they've created is pretty dang cool.

Exceptional biking trails. The park offers a skateboard park, ziplines, children's playground, covered areas, and parking for the river walk trail that runs along most of the river running through the city.
