Our absolute favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch. It's small, so there's often a wait on weekends, but you can grab a coffee and wander around downtown, or claim a bench and people-watch, while you wait to be called. You'll be glad you did.

111 North Sycamore StreetOur absolute favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch. It's small, so there's often a wait on weekends, but you can grab a coffee and wander around downtown, or claim a bench and people-watch, while you wait to be called. You'll be glad you did.
Fantastic food and drinks. Nice but not pretentious. Awesome patio. It connects to a great locally owned health-food store, Nature's Own.

(If you want the Vito's pizza without the full Vito's experience, there's a second, much smaller location in a small shopping center on Hwy. 5 between Pinehurst and Aberdeen.)

Really beautiful, free gardens maintained by Sandhills Community College horticultural students. Lots of paths, including some that connect to the Southern Pines reservoir trails. The welcome center has restrooms.

A wonderful arts center that often hosts author readings, concerts, and a variety of cultural events. Behind the house are beautiful gardens. Plus, it backs up to Weymouth Woods with its miles of trails. All of this is open to the public.
