a super nice lake just 15mn by walk from my house. i go swimming there after a long work day. it's very chill and family friendly. good to walk the dog. walking around takes a good 1h.

a must see when you travel to bergen. if you are not into hiking, i recommend the fløybanen to go up, and you can walk down to the city. easy peasy

there is a network of cabins that you can rent via DNT website. This place is only accessible by train, about 2.5h from bergen. peacefulness guaranteed! i love that place,
spend a night there and admire the nature and the sky. There is food that you can buy and beds with all you need

If you are travelling on the E16, make a stop at this fantastic hotel, and have a drink and a pastry there to admire the gorgeous view! Really worth a stop. Furthermore, the little laces road which joins again the E16 is breathtaking.

Yes it is very probably in your tour guide too, I’m just here to tell that it’s really worth it! I do myself a small detour to go there every time I am close by.

sun is out and you have trouble to find a terrasse? try Dr Wiesner! i like this place a lot, excellent atmosphere and friendly people. i can stay hours, until the sun disappears.

if you don't want to miss the rugby or football game while you are travelling, i 1000% recommend this pub! fantastic atmosphere there. you'll make friends in no time. sometime they grill some sausages or burgers outside

This is the (only) 5 star hotel in Bergen to my knowledge. I like going there on a rainy Saturday afternoon for an afternoon tea ☺️. Also on sundays, they serve buffet for 450kr I think. It makes my breakfast AND lunch. Very generous

1h by train or 1h20 by car from Bergen, you will fall in love with this little town, with green mountains, rivers and lake. from there you can take a buss to go to Gudvangen, where a ferry depart to sail to Flåm

voss - gudvangen, ferry to flåm in majestic fjords, then the famous flåmbanen train to mjølfjell, and back to bergen with the normal train..
count a whole day for it. book tours online or tourist information center

busses
there is a good network of busses in bergen and surroundings. download the app Skyss Reise to see the different lines and schedule. My house is 3mn walk from the bus stop called "Melkeplasse", line 19. it runs every 10 to 15mn.
i recommend you buy a 48h pass on the app Skyss billet, it is going to cost you less. i don't recommend to buy a ticket inside the bus, it's very expensive

City to or from airport, i recommend the tramway, or "bybane". it costs about 4€ only!
you also have flybussen
and of course taxi. i recommend the app JIP, which give you good prices.
otherwise you can jump into a taxi and ask for "fastpris", its about 500kr
from airport to my house, the fastest is a taxi, takes about 17mn. there is not much other easy transportation. tramway + bus would take around 1h20 ..
other solution is flybussen from airport to OASEN mall center (99kr/10€), and a taxi from there to my house

Nordness swimming pool
A little jewel! Bring your swimsuit and go there early morning, so there will be less people. There is a open swimming pool, heated, a tiny sauna, and an access to the sea 💙.They’re also opened in the winter time ! And I swear it’s worth to go under the snow ❄️
