This park is a peninsula extending into Lake Washington with a paved 3 mile loop around the perimeter with view of Mt Rainier as well as the city. Interior trails take you through forest. There are also beaches for swimming, a great playground, and tennis courts.

This hidden South Seattle gem is a beautiful Japanese garden with free admission. It's 35 min by foot heading south on the Chief Sealth trail or you can easily drive within 10 min.

This is the multi-use trail that crosses in front of our home to the north and takes you directly to Rainier Beach Light Rail station to the south. Walk, ride, or scoot for miles! We have lots of bike and scooter rentals in the neighborhood.

This neighborhood is one light rail stop to the north. It has a great collection of shops, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, bars, and an awesome Farmer's Market on Wednesday afternoons May-Oct. We love the PCC grocery store too.

North Beacon Hill is accessed a few miles to the north on our same hill. The north end has great light rail access, fun restaurants and a golf course near Jefferson Park.
