its my personal favorite restaurant in chinatown. its never busy and the decor is cool and you can pretty much always be seated right away! Get the mushu anything or chicken and broccoli with schezhuan sauce...yum!

it has great cuban food. make sure to order a side of sweet plantains. great cuban sandwiches, chicken fricasse, and their specialty is pork which is a huge serving and delicious.

its a landmark restaurant and this new location always has a line out the door. It's not your average taco-the meat is generally stewed and the tortillas are very thick. Definitely worth trying!

every friday from 3-7 they block off the street. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies and some good prepared food. Great to get something and take to the lake which is right next to it!

its the crown jewel of echo park! It's really fun, lots of people are there, and you can make a picnic, people watch, or get some exercise by running or walking the paved perimeter (its about a mile per lap)
