Breakfast, brunch (incredible pancakes!), lunch, afternoon tea, coffee & cake, dinner, drinks.....Heller's Kitchen is a wonderful little independent bistro open throughout the day to suit what you fancy. Perfect location for before/after taking a walk up Blackford Hill or Arthur's Seat.

A must do. Our apartment makes either the start or the end of the Water of Leith walkway. Take a walk (or hire bikes) and head along to Cannonmills, the Botanic Gardens and Stockbridge/Dean Village.

A nice park to run, cycle or walk around. There are also tennis courts available to hire if you wish.

Right in the centre of the city, the gardens are a nice place to relax right underneath the sights of the castle. A nice place to enjoy a coffee to go or ice cream before heading off to your next sightseeing spot.

A much loved place to wander in Edinburgh. Also has some of the best views overlooking the city. The cafes in the gardens are very overpriced so it's worth packing a picnic or walking in to Cannonmills or Stockbridge to find somewhere a little more reasonable (and better!).

No trip to Edinburgh is complete without a walk up Arthur's Seat. The views are incredible. There are a variety of different paths if you prefer a scramble up or a leisurely stroll.
