I recommend you visit this place as it is very representative of Bergen. Did you know that this city used to be the capital of Norway? It was a very visited port and still is. You will see many boats in the docks and in the surroundings, you will find places to drink a beer or eat a delicious hamburger. You can walk through the emblematic buildings with triangle roofs and visit the typical craft shops here.

From the seven famous mountains that surround Bergen, I believe Fløyen is the most popular. At the top of this mountain there is a park for the kids to play in. There are two cafes but must important, the view of the city from there is amazing. Maybe you can't walk to the top, but you can take the funicular which will take you right next to that hot-spot. For the brave ones walking to the top, don't worry, there are restrooms in the two cafes. 😉

Fløyen
From the seven famous mountains that surround Bergen, I believe Fløyen is the most popular. At the top of this mountain there is a park for the kids to play in. If you come during the summer holidays, it is nice to go for a swim in this place. They have a small sauna and the pool has sea water. Just in case you're looking for a place to take the kids or if you're in need for a good swim outdoors.
