Depending on the season and the light, the granite formations at Arizona’s Watson Lake can glow a ruddy brick-red color, a delicate salmon pink, or a rich tan. Regardless of the hue, though, the lake is sure to be flat out gorgeous.
Watson Lake packs an enormous punch in the scenery and recreation arenas despite its relatively small size. The reservoir in the north-central Arizona city of Prescott is known throughout the state for the striking granite formations that surround it and dot its surface.

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary has been operating in Prescott, AZ since 1988. Over the past 33 years our mission has been to “Give refuge to non-releasable, rescued wildlife while providing conservation through exhibition and public education.” As a non-profit we rely on gate admission, events, programs, and fundraising, to provide excellent care to over 200 sanctuary animals and over 300 rescue animals each year.

Saloons from the Gold Rush era were rebuilt on this street after being destroyed by a fire in 1900.
