You CAN walk here (a bit of a stretch though) but we suggest catching a cab, bus or Uber here. This is our favourite during the summer. Backed by trees & the Stanley Park Seawall, a sandy beach popular for sunset views & picnics.

If you're fortunate enough to make it here plan the time to explore the area on a bicycle. The entire Park area is designed to be bicycle and walker friendly. This particular spot I could have sat and watched the water for another hour.
