Tom Kitchin's gastropub, worth booking for a restaurant table for good scottish pub food or try your luck at the bar for a drink or snack. If no luck then The Raeburn is a good alternative.

A really pretty walk along the Water of Leith Walkway to here and up the steps, so it feels you have fallen on the gallery. Restaurant/cafe well worth a visit and Charles Jencks landscaped garden.

A secret spot for a fabulous view over Edinburgh is from the terrace in the Scottish Wing. It is easy to loose yourself here for a couple of hours. The cafe on the 2nd floor is good.

This has to by favourite place (just outside) Edinburgh. It is an absolutely treat to walk through this exquisite parkland filled with sculptural treasures. It is a hassle to get there on public transport abs pretty easy by car, but you will not be disappointed. A great restaurant and cafe there too.

It is a hassle to get there on public transport abs pretty easy by car, but you will not be disappointed. A great restaurant and cafe there too.
