The most attractive section of the Via Francigena starts just a few metres out of Montefiascone, immediately after the Stadium. The stone paving (basolato) of the pathway is still the original one dating back from the Roman times.

Hiking and biking are possible. A 6 Km. long path starting at Castel Cellesi would take you trough fields and countryside. Ancient caves (Etruscan tombs?) are visible and also the remains of a "ELEPHAS ANTIQUUS" (kind of elephant ca. 1 million years ago) whose bones are on display on site.
