If you want ambience AND craft beer in Escondido- this is the spot! Really cool park-like atmosphere with a bunch of outdoor seating and fire pits. Food is ok but the beer selection and atmosphere is what makes this place special. Worth the visit!

This is San Diego Zoo's large safari park. Animals are happy here and it's significantly larger than the zoo. You could spend 4-8 hours here if you're looking for a half or full day activity.

Depending on what time of year you visit- there may not be a 'lake' BUT there are still great walking trails and a neat pedestrian bridge to walk across.
