The Lodge just underwent a major remodel and recently re-opened after several years. The views are spectacular, the dining is top notch, and the history unbeatable. It's so busy right now that it's reservation only in the dining room. While they do plan to offer take-out, that has not started yet. Check with them for updates. They also have a full bar open Thursdays - Sunday. Lastly, they added a grab-n-go counter during the remodel that offers coffee, breakfast, lunch, and picnics to go!

All I can say is OMG! The food is amazing. The views are extraordinary. The Irish Whisky collection is…spectacular! It is a bit of a drive north from Barking Rocks Cottage (about 40 minutes), but the dining room here does not disappoint.

The dining room at Timber Cove is well worth the 40 minute drive south. After undergoing massive renovations not long ago, their dining experience is fantastic. Be sure to check out the menus on their site. I believe reservations are required and the restaurant has re-opened to the general public again (vs. just guests during COVID). While you’re there, be sure to take a walk around the grounds. The gardens and views are wonderful!

This is a wonderful piece of California's coastal history, showcasing the life of Russian settlers/trappers in the early 1800's. It also has preserved history of and educates the public about the local Kashaya people who lived on this coast long before any settlers discovered the area. Private tours can be arranged in both English and Russian, or you can do a self-tour. The park also produces two wonderful festivals held on the grounds each year. (one in the Fall, one in the Summer)

Private tours can be arranged in both English and Russian, or you can do a self-tour. The park also produces two wonderful festivals held on the grounds each year. (one in the Fall, one in the Summer)

This property offers the unique experience of gradually changing botanical environments from the garden's entrance to the sea (spanning almost two miles!). They host many annual events, including the holiday light festival (a must see!), and the Rhododendron bloom in May and June is a feast for the eyes! Literally wall to wall shows of color can be experienced in the Rhododendron forest. It's an unforgettable experience!

We are a hop, skip, & a jump away from this geologic marvel! There are so many incredible land formations it's hard to list. But the must-see is the beach at low tide. That's when the rows of round boulders (aka 'bowling balls) are fully visible. Prepare for a healthy hike, but be sure to take your camera!
