Just take a walk and look at the houses and bridges on this small island. Very typical old dutch style. Not very far from the house. :)

Nice street; lots of shops and places to eat at. Sometimes a market at the Noorderkerk (the curch on the end of the street). And this street is situated in the middle of the Jordaan area. Nice old neighbourhood of Amsterdam, cute houses and houseboats.. Just take a walk from the house towards the Westerstraat through the zigzag of streets!

Storytelling venue! They have free events and sometimes on donation. Music and every(!) friday free storytelling. If you want to eat there soup for 5 euro all evening. You can arrive 19:00 and 20:00 they start.
